Constance takes both film and digital pictures (35mm b&w is her favorite), writes prose/poetry (as well as essays and children's literature), & is an elementary school teacher and administrator.
She currently loves living in Brooklyn, but boasts being born and raised in the Bronx. She opted to stay in NYC for undergrad, and earned a B.S. in Media, Culture and Communication from NYU. In that time is when she picked up her grandfather's Minolta, went to Prague, and learned to shoot and develop photographs in the darkroom. Since then, Constance has worked in fashion styling, non-profit communications, and education both abroad and in New York. All the while, she has remained committed to finding time to be behind the lens.
Constance's work often explores themes of home, identity, and shame.
